On Choosing to Practice Medicine . . .
“As an orthopaedic surgeon I love what I do. This was something I was born to do. I enjoy working with each patient and the challenge of finding the best solution to help him or her feel better fast.”
On Being an Orthopedist . . .
“When I was younger, I was a very active student and athlete. I loved athletics. Football, basketball, and baseball were my favorite sports. During my years in school I was fascinated with science. I could never get enough. Becoming an orthopaedic surgeon was a perfect blend of the two things I loved—sports and science. I can really relate to the athletes I treat, and I do whatever I can to get them back out on the field or on the court to pursue their passions and excel at something that empowers them.”
